To All Galileo Lions,
Effective January 2005, you will be asked to make a yearly GAA membership donation of $25. GAA does not wish to exclude anyone who cannot afford that amount, so any contribution is appreciated. Of course, larger donations are gratefully accepted.
The annual donation will be used to support activities at Galileo Academy of Science and Technology (formerly Galileo High School). Since the state has cut funding to public schools, many activities we enjoyed at Galileo now require outside support to maintain. To date, GAA has contributed to the school newspaper, sports program, and graduation site. With your help, we hope to do more in the future.
GAA’s nonprofit status makes your donation tax deductible. When sending a contribution, please use a check, rather than cash, and include a completed copy of the membership form which you can download at http://galileoalumni.org/membership.html. Receipt of your donation will be acknowledged by the Membership Committee. If you have questions, please email membership@galileoalumni.org.
We need your current information to distribute our newsletter, The Galileo Observer. Anyone who has attended Galileo is considered an alumnus/alumna, so encourage your friends to join.
Please plan to make GAA one of the nonprofit organizations you support annually. Board members receive no perks or financial compensation from the money you donate. The students at Galileo are the beneficiaries of your generosity.
